Kenny and Sarah came to visit and the boys had a lot of fun trying to relive their dad's best moment ever: tackling and pinning Ken Ojukwu. Better luck next time boys!
Oliver found a bunch of ants on our front walk yesterday and wanted to investigate them---he told me all sorts of things: there are fire ants, which are red, and pelican ants, which aren't red. All ants have jobs, some dig tunnels, others take care of the babies.
After nap, the boys ended up in a bit less clothing than normal. It was great though, because they decided to use their new chalk on top of the sand box (the perfect place to draw!) and got a bit messy.
Mike finished work a little early today, so the boys and I went into the city. We walked from Mike's office up the Schuylkill River walk to the Art Museum where we had dinner on the steps! It was beautiful!
I tried to explain how to do the Rocky celebratory dance to Oliver--looks a bit more like a ballerina.
The Arnolds came over last night for pizza and some Easter egg fun! Oliver and Jack dyed real eggs---and did quite a fabulous job I believe. There was almost no mess, except for Jack's blue hands....
The little guys aren't quite ready for real eggs, so they put stickers on some plastic eggs...
The sticker gig didn't last too long when they saw their brothers with colored water. Steph came up with the idea to have Wes and Kiernan "dye their colored eggs in water"! (This is the same mom who came up with the idea to bring snow inside this winter...totally brilliant, right?)
The finished product (from O & J)!
After all the egg fun (and a spot of ice cream) Mike read the boys some stories...before I tried to take a photo, all 4 boys were sitting nicely together. Once the camera came out, the big boys scattered!
