Happy Halloween!

This year we had to find a costume theme that could include SIX kids...and thus the Mixons came up with the idea of the three little pigs, with the babes being the house supplies. Note Rebecca's excellent costumes yet again!

Dizzy for Obama

Oliver and Jack after the rally.

Obama Baby!

On Saturday morning Barack Obama came to Philadelphia. We were told via email the night before that he would be coming to 4 different locations throughout the city, and so we, along with about 60,000 (no kidding) other people, decided to go see him.

We met the Arnolds around 10 in Germantown and joined a super long line to enter Vernon Park. After an hour and a half in the line, we could finally see the gate, only they decided to stop letting people in.
Luckily, we had spotted the Howes across the street and asked them to join us. The Howes are such big Obama supporters they donated their car (and house) for the cause. They decided they wouldn't be turned away, so pregnant Jeni, jumped over that little black fence to get in the park. Jon soon followed and the two lifted our stroller over. Well, we weren't going to be left behind, so hop over we did!
Jeni holding Michaela so she could see Mr. Obama!
A shot of the crowd---Obama is under the tree limb straight ahead. From our vantage point, he was about the size of a cricket (thankfully we could hear him though).
Oliver, clearly inspired.

Kiernan and his buddy Wesley Arnold (welcome Wes!) after the rally.
The big dudes.

Matching PJs

Oliver and Kiernan were having so much fun in their matching PJs, we decided to let them stay in them all day.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

The boys and I went to the zoo on Tuesday and it was so wonderful, we went back with Mike on Wednesday. They have a herd of 22 giraffes that you can feed, a room of 300+ birds to feed, a pack of wolves, 6 mountain lions, 2 grizzlies (no feeding the latter 3) and all the other animals you expect to see at a zoo. This is by far the most incredible interactive and hands on zoo I have ever seen. Well worth the trip!

Colorado Springs

We just spent a week in Colorado Springs at the Broadmoor for a conference for Mike. The hotel was amazing---the most beautiful pool I've ever seen and in a superb setting. Let's hope ANI picks another great location next year!

Here's the diaper after the pool!

Totally pooped at the end of the day.
