First Snow!

We woke up this morning to almost an inch of snow on the ground! It was pretty exciting---and Oliver couldn't wait to get out and play. Unfortunately, we were a bit out of practice and it took a while to get all of the gear we needed. Oliver waited patiently in his snow pants while we searched for his jacket.

Kiernan watched Oliver play for a minute and then decided he really needed to get out there too!

Welcome Cousin Charlie!

Sarah and Sam had their baby! He was born yesterday--weighing in at 8 lbs 2 oz.

Woo-Hoo!!!

We did it! We set a new record! 87 minutes to walk a mile....which averages out to be one foot per second. I believe it would be possible to crawl a mile in that amount of time. Nice.

A Few Reasons...

Why it can take 73 minutes (our current record) to walk a mile.

All sticks must be picked up, inspected and thrown.





Each rock should be put in your pocket---if only temporarily.





Each path, no matter where it leads, must be explored.





And one must do "the fence walk" whenever the opportunity presents itself.






We are now .2 of a mile into our walk and 32 minutes in. I see a new record in the making...
